Speaker Brochure - Do A Postcard Instead

Started by Kent Julian. Last reply by Kent Julian Apr 10. 21 Replies

I get asked a lot about whether speakers need a speaker brochure or not.As you know, I'm not too interested in doing what everyone else is doing (who wants to be normal, anyway?). Instead, I try to do things that make my services standout from the…Continue

Banner for Speaker

Started by Kent Julian. Last reply by Jen McDonough "The Iron Jen" Mar 17. 1 Reply

Jen McDonough asked me about banners I use for booths when I'm speaking. I don't do this a lot. In fact, I only do it when I'm vending because usually, when you keynote, you get a table to set up your product. If you ask for your table to be…Continue

Flo,
Or...figure out a program that people will pay to attend (90 program on career or something similar).

Flo,

95% of my speaking is requires travel. I'm doing more locally than ever before and I hope to grow that to 15-20%. If I do get to 20% locally, that would be incredible (and almost unheard of in the speaking industry).

Hey Kent,

Blessings on your speaking gig. I think the actual website is www.hopefoundation.org. What a great opportunity. Looking forward to your comments.

Hey Everyone,

I leave tomorrow AM for a speaking gig with the Hope Foundation (www.hopefoundation.com). I am speaking for them 5 more times for them in 2008 (already have made one presentation). Also, I'm working on contracting 15-18 gigs with them in 2009. I look forward to sharing how this opportunity opened up for me and sharing ideas of how something similar can open up for you.

I'll write more when I get back. Until then...

Live & speak it forward,
Kent

Hey Eli, I guess the practice really paid off! Congratulations!

Way to go Eli! I too just joined Toastmasters. I'm on speech #3.

That's just awesome and I know a real confidence boaster. Remember what Jerry Seinfeld says....at a funeral, most people would rather be in the casket than speak. LOL. Your ahead of the pack!
