I get asked a lot about whether speakers need a speaker brochure or not.As you know, I'm not too interested in doing what everyone else is doing (who wants to be normal, anyway?). Instead, I try to do things that make my services standout from the…Continue

Banner for Speaker

Started by Kent Julian. Last reply by Jen McDonough "The Iron Jen" Mar 17. 1 Reply

Jen McDonough asked me about banners I use for booths when I'm speaking. I don't do this a lot. In fact, I only do it when I'm vending because usually, when you keynote, you get a table to set up your product. If you ask for your table to be…Continue

Kent,

I was checking out your speak it forward site and I'm impressed. You make a very convincing case for someone to attend your conference.

Kimanzi...I will answer if you will do one thing for me.  Can you copy & paste this as a discussion item? That way, we can find it later.

Thanks!

Kent, I'm there!

I have a question for the group,

I sent a speaking proposal to a woman in charge of a conference in October, it would be my highest paying event yet. It seems like she liked the proposal and we've had some interaction on Twitter.

It's been two weeks so I sent her a email asking if she had any questions and explaining why I would be a good fit at her conference. She emailed back and set up a time to talk to me on Skype this Wednesday. I believe she's interested otherwise she would have just said no, right? I know it takes a lot to book an unknown speaker who at this point, hasn't spoken anywhere.

How should I approach the call? Any tips to win her over?
