I am looking for feedback on a name for my ministry and website when it is up and running.
I am looking for a name that represents energy, courage, motivation, process, victory and would relate to having the courage to stand on God's word and be strong in overcoming in our lives.
Thinking about "Dynamic Faith Ministries".

Let me ask you a couple of questions. Is there a specific focus for your ministry? Is is marriage, money, women's issues...?? Are you coming from a denominational or non-denominational arena? This will help give a more specific answer to your question.

My specific ministry is to encourage others in overcoming anxiety disorders, depression, emotional abuse and prescription drug addiction.
This is my story of deliverance through God's truth with the how to's for others to follow.
This would be a non-denominational arena.

I know what I am about to say may seem contrary to what you are looking for as far as a name, but I would stay away from "churchy" names. I come from a very churchy background too. I think sometimes to reach who you want to reach it is best to stay away from names that shout out "church". Rick Warren's "Celebrate Recovery" has no direct "church" in its name. I hope that makes sense???
Think of names outside the church circles. Dynamic Living, Courageous Living...things along these lines. You may want to leave out "faith" and "ministries" if you are trying to reach the unchurched. These are just my thoughts.
I just don't want you to limit yourself, as far as your reach.
blessings to you...

I look forward to seeing others share thoughts.
avoiding "churchy" names may expand your audience beyond what you're currently planning for; I like Don's advice.
Ideas-
Victorious
This New Day
Freedom Found
Just a few things that popped into my mind :)
Good luck with this- I've been wrestling with my brand too
Permalink Reply by Jeff McManus on September 18, 2012 at 2:47pm Betsy, as I read your message I think about the benefits of what you do. I think you give Hope, a Second chance, Life, Strength, Encouragement, Accountability, Trust, Success. You help people. That is Dynamic.
Keeping the name to 2 or 3 words is easy to remember. Even a name that ties to your story or a unique place that was instrumental in your overcoming. Proverbs 31 Ministries, Street Ministry. Simple and no explanation needed. You hear those names and you get what it is about. Don is right, those are church names, so your target group is important know.
I like Don's suggestions Dynamic Living, Courageous Living. Very positive.
Betsy you're getting some fantastic advice here...the idea of focusing on the outcome is really the key.
"Freedom for tomorrow"
"Victorious Future"
"Choosing Victory"

Great idea starting this discussion.
There is some great advice in here.
Remember, your name and brand, while important, might change over time as you develop and grow. Be somewhat light-hearted in your approach. Dan, Kent, Dave, me, many others have tweaked the business name throughout the years.
Don't let it be a sticking point.
Hi Betsy,
I had replied to another post on this. I really like the name Dynamic Faith Ministries. It is short, descriptive, and to the point, HOWEVER, if you are looking to reach people "outside" of the church, I definitely would go with the group's suggestion of going with a "non churchy" name.
I liked Don's name of "Dynamic Living, Courageous Living"
I agree with Joel's note below. Don't get stuck on it, just keep going as you can always tweak it as you go. Ahhh...easier said than done sometimes...I get it (truly I do), but very true.
Best of luck!
Jen
