I've recently added a free BLUEPRINT TO BUILDING THE LIFE YOU WANT on my website. I'd love for my 48 Days Friends to have it as well. If you are interested just click on the link below to get it.

Hi Stephanie... thanks for the invite. I look forward to exploring and discovering. Hope I can be a blessing, too.

Hi Jaclyn! You took a great first step in joining the 48 days.net community and getting involved with some groups.

My first encouragement to you is to immediatley start building a strong network and business relationships. Begin sharing what you are doing and how you can help others. You may want to join the Chamber of Commerce and bring your baked goods there for free. This will be great marketing for you and will help get the word out.

Keep it simple in the beginning. Just hand out your contact info if people really love your baked goods and let them know you are happy to bake items for them for any events they have. Get clear on your pricing and practice saying how much your items cost. This will feel very uncomfortable at first, but over time, you'll get the hang of it.

Hi Stephanie, thank you so much for creating this group!  You really spoke to my heart.  I am currently working as a nurse in Pediatrics, in which I love to do. However, I'm struggling with the work environment, I work with people that have no respect and look out only for themselves.  I have a supervisor whose solution to the problem is for you to fend for yourself. I am finding that I'm losing my will to fight.  In spite of all this, I have a passion for baking in which I use as my way to cope with my current situation.  My husband is trying to help me develop a way to monetize my passion for baking. Do you have any ideas about I may go about doing this?

Thank you so much for your kind words Stephanie. I am very excited to be a part of this site. I openly welcome any advise to help me start thinking like an entrepreneur. The hardest part for me is think about things that like doing. I've been in same job for 10 years; i enjoy it but I always think about doing something more meaningful. New ideas do not come easy to me and that is what i want to change for myself.

Networking is so important- I need to add more of it to my activities. I agree with you as well Stephanie; being discerning about places and groups is essential. I try to get a feel fairly quickly!

Guest posting has helped me to get in front of a different audiences and engage with them. I haven't done an abundance but I'm continuing to develop relationships with people in my community and offer to write or exchange articles.

Stephanie, it's encouraging to see that after your effort, the crickets are dissipating.  I know I get so much value from engagement and connection- too many blog posts, books, projects, whatever without engagement (just crickets) can be disheartening.  I'm also excited to hear the good news your podcast has added.  You continue to be an encouragement and inspiration to me.

Daniel, I tried local business meetings but I don't think I was the right fit. At least I found it out quickly!  It's great to see the variety of ways we can build relationships and help one another in our side hustles (or full time businesses!)

Networking is something I need to add but I'm trying to be really strategic about where I network and the quality of these groups.

I went to one Chamber of Commerce meeting and met a couple of good contacts. I probably should get back there.

I informally network everywhere I go. I speak about what I do to everyone I meet. I get a lot of leads and interest this way. It has brought me referalls. My church and networking with other business owners at my church are my strongest networking group.

My efforts of online marketing are just now paying off (after a year of very hard work and hearing crickets for about 11 months). The podcast has been the best addition. It's put me on the map of a lot of big name's and that gives me social credibility. I've had two prospects this month reach out to me from an interview I did.

I am starting a Mastermind group as well. There is a cost for it but there are top shelf members in the group. This provides stronger strategies, referalls, and JV partners.

Daniel, I have just started to include Champer meetings into my networking push and I think it will take some time to pay off, but the connections so far have been great.  How long were you attending meetings before you started getting clients from that group?

I am trying to get out and network more.  There seems to be lots of meet ups in the mornings and lunch times but I am still in my JOB and can only get out after working hours. It is a challenge but I know but I think that networking is what is going to help me out the most in the short term.  What has been working for you?
