I really enjoyed the article. It really articulated some of the frustrations I have been feeling with my current time for $ job. I'm at a point in my life where the value of time is so much more to me than it used to be.Those same frustrations are the reason I also set up a profile on upworks to see what freelancing opportunities there are.

Thanks Stephanie.

It took me along time to realize that being a bad employee was okay! I feel like Wreck it Ralph. "I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad!"

(Sorry, I have kids)

John- I loved the article! Congrats on the feature! I can so relate! I'm a terrible employee and have embraced it!

(My friends this group has been awesome. I wanted to share the first article in my weekly column on The Good Men Project. Thank you all so much. Your Facebook Shares and Tweets helped make this possible, so I thought an ode to 48days was in order!)

First things first. This is not a piece about stealing from the company, punching the boss or setting a fire.

Hi Todd,

I believe your past leaves many clues to help you find your purpose. Many of our experiences, skills, and passions work together on the quest to find our purpose.

Browse the internet to see how many experts speak on your topic. If there are people doing it already, people are listening and will continue to listen.

Hey Stephanie. In your opinion, is finding your purpose more about following your intuition, your gut instinct, or is it more methodical, analytical, and scientific than that?

I believe I've found something worth pursuing. My motivation is mostly driven by past experience and gut instict, so far. But I believe the instinct stems from my own past experience and pain points. I know of many other people who have had a similar experience and suffer similar pain points. I believe the group I could serve, help, and influence could be in the tens of thousands. With some scalability, it could reach millions.

But, I've not done any analytical research to know if anyone would listen to my message.

Thank you for your work.

Well, I have a pretty big goal for 2016. It's one I'm not sure if anyone else has it on their list. I have smaller goals but the larger one is to go within myself and to find there inner happiness, inner joy, inner peace and inner love. Because of my experience last Christmas and the audio book I have been listening to I believe that I will find what I'm seeking. Once I find all four, I will build them up in myself and then give it out to the world.

That's a great start. Who is in your network that has a similar target audience that you can ask if they either 1. want to do something together with you (JV) or 2. would mind spreading the word

Thank you for the advice. I understand what you're saying.  I will keep updating my progress as I get things planned out. I have often heard start with the intent of getting to know people first  and make friends then once a common trust is built you can progress towards providing them a service.  I definitely like the idea of a free workshop and showcase.  I have even put together flyers and tear a way tag flyers in order to promote future show cases.
