I'm going to be using the Platform book as part of a class I'm teaching at a homeschool co-op next this fall. So, I've got to come up with some sort of class outline. Has anyone tried something like this?

Hey guys for all the newbies like myself who havent read the book yet we could read and go over the book together here in the forum. I was wanting to try to get the group moving again. I though we could read the book in parts and I could just do a discussion forum on it each week. I think it would be great for the newbies and good for a review for everyone else. Who is in with me?

Is anyone else reading an advance copy of The Impact Equation by Chris Brogan and Julien Smith (authors of Trust Agents)? It's a great complement to Platform.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I was on vacation all week and had limited online access, mostly because I was surfing every spare minute (well, more wiping out than actually surfing, but what's the difference?). As for GA, my bro-in-law helped me set it up. I went to analytics.google.com and signed up. There was a long number from my website dashboard that had to be entered. I don't have all the steps. If you can't figure it out, I'm sure someone on here could guide you better than I.  Regarding the book, I'm still plodding my way through and will be opening discussions on the different topics as I go. Please start whatever conversations you want. This isn't my group. I just started it.

That's funny, Nathan. I've been meaning to figure out Google Analytics for a while and finally set it up last night. I'm slowly working my way through the book. Not sure what my top takeaway is yet.

Hyatt's blog is a great standard of excellence to emulate in terms of clarity and quality. My most important takeaway is to add Google Analytics to my websites and start paying attention!  How about you?

Tom, I guess as a trucker audio books work best. Looked through your site and wasn't sure if your knew that your Thank You tab, takes you to a 404 error page.

I see you started the site recently. What prompted that? Anything we can do to help build your Platform?

hi everyone,

My hardcover isn't here yet, but I have been through the audio book twice. My product is mostly my podcast, but I also have to keep my blog maintained. I think my focus needs to be on the "WOW" for my podcast and the blog. Until the book gets here and I get to go through with the good old highlighter, that's my plan.

I look forward to seeing this group grow.
