I just joined this group.  I think I'll be able to learn alot.  I've been part of a company (buying every month) for over 16-years.  Now I am choosing to do the business side of it.  How did some of  you determine your business niche...the business you chose.  What factors played into your decision to do what you are doing.  I know I had my own criteria but I want to know what others were/are looking for.  Thanks in advance!

Thanks so much. This put a lot of what I had been thinking in perspective. There is a quote that I love by Robert Kiyosaki:

"THE FEAR OF BEING DIFFERENT PREVENTS MOST PEOPLE FROM SEEKING NEW WAYS TO SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS."

What you are saying reminds me of this. I know when someone takes a look at a business idea that is based in Network Marketing there are cookie cutter was of building a business they give you but I have always felt a little uncomfortable with them. I guess that's because when I go against being Authentically Me things will not go right (which is by God's design right?).

Great question.  The truth is most people aren't successful in network marketing.  I've been in network marketing for 18 yrs. and I struggled with little to no success until I stopped listening to everyone else telling me that I had to be like them and follow their "duplicatable system".  If the "system" really worked then why do most people fail at network marketing which is a legitimate and viable business model?

I wanted to ask a question of those who are successful in Network Marketing. I signed up for a great product that I genuinely enjoy and find value in. The challenge is I don't consider myself a sales person! I have a circle of friends and family I have asked to join but they always respond with "I am cheap...", "I don't want to pay for anything", etc. without even looking at the service. How do you overcome those types of obstacles? I am trying so hard not to be one of those pushy sales people I dislike that I am not selling anything-LOL! I really don't want to give up but excel at this. Can anyone offer advice?
