Comment by Sibyl White on May 13, 2013 at 6:29pm Hi, Nashvillians! Doing Good is creating a television show to feature our own, local volunteers! Yes, really! It’s already confirmed to air on the local affiliate of CBS! The first meeting is Tuesday, May 21st, 6:00 – 7:00 at The Center for Philanthropic Studies at Franklin Road Academy, 4700 Franklin Road. Free parking. The Television Show committee meets at FRA monthly, the third Tuesday of each month, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Ideal volunteers for this committee are people who are interested in marketing, desire to promote volunteers and their non-profits and/or who enjoy watching television! If you are interested, please email Megan@DoingGood.tv or call 615-934-5087.

Hi Nashvillians :) I hope everyone's having a great day, though I heard about the storm watches out there today. I hope you don't mind me posting this on here, but for any of you who are involved with a church, school, sports club, boy scouts, 4-h, running club, or any other non-profit group that is looking to raise some money, I have an opportunity that just opened up. I work with the Muddy Buddy race series and just had a volunteer group of about 40 people back out for our race at Cheatham Wildlife Management Area on June 23rd (yes that is 10 days from now). I am filling those 40 spots this week and thought my fellow 48dayers might want to be involved.
Here's where the fundraising part comes in... we donate $25 per volunteer to the group that recruits them for us. The race is a blast, so even if you're not raising money for a group, it's fun to volunteer. What's better than yelling at people to crawl on their bellies through mud, or watching someone complete a challenge they previously thought was impossible?!
The race is Saturday, June 23rd from 7:00am till noon. Volunteers are needed from 5:00am till 12:30. I can be a little flexible on the arrival time in the morning.
I don't want to take up more room with details that aren't important unless you want to work with me. If you are interested, please email me at bethany@velvetironfitness.com or call me 818-357-9944.

Comment by Sibyl White on March 24, 2012 at 7:26pm For all Nashvillians. There is a fundraiser coming up to try and stop human trafficking here in Nashville. Please stop by if you can. It's a Pancake Breakfast for $5.00 on Sat. 3/31 from 7am - noon. Here is some more info on the breakfast and the group I belong to: http://www.facebook.com/events/324130300979436/
The deman for girls younger than 13 is growing. Please help us stop it.
