But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

Veterans Career Match

My Next MoveOn My Next Move for Veterans (www.MyNextMove.org/vets) veterans will find a simple and quick search engine where they enter their prior military experience (branch of service and military occupation code or title) and link to the information they need to explore information on civilian careers and related training, including information they can use to write resumes that highlight related civilian skills. In addition, My Next Move for Veterans contains a link to an online assessment, the O*NET Interest Profiler, which provides results comparable to the Strong Interest Inventory being used in the new Transition Assistance Program (TAP). Veterans who have not received an interest assessment as part of TAP can access and take this interest assessment online from a link in the lower right-hand corner of My Next Move for Veterans or directly at: http://www.mynextmove.org/explore/ip

Welcome Terry. It's great to have a 48Days.net celebrity-and fellow veteran- in our growing group. We're looking forward to your insights.

Thanks for creating this group! As a Navy vet, I have a special connection to and appreciation for military people. I spent six years in the Navy as an enlisted guy (a nuke... for all those sailors out there). Today, I coach people to achieve their greatest success. Some might say those two careers aren't connected, but I believe I leveraged an advantage only military folks have. I look forward to participating in the conversation.

Have you signed up for ID.me yet? I was introduced to the Veteran owned company through Joe Crane's Podcast, Veteran On The Move. ID.me helps vets prove their service to retailers, who in turn offer military discounts. Check out Joe's interview with the company founder, Blake Hall, at http://www.veteranonthemove.com/your-digital-id-managed-with-one-ac...

Welcome aboard to Robert Crump and Paul Sidwell! We're glad you joined the group. Paul, any tips you have for veterans on purchasing real estate would be appreciated. Can vets buy multifamily or mixed use properties with VA loans?

Congratulations to Mark Jennrich who was the winner of the MilVetHQ launch contest, and taking home the book by Clark Howard. Everyone here is a winner though and I'd like to share a copy of Seth Godin's book, "Unleashing the Idea Virus" with you. You can find it at http://www.sethgodin.com/ideavirus/downloads/IdeavirusReadandShare.pdf.

Congratulations and thank you for your service David. When I went through TAP the instructor asked us to write down the kind of J-O-B we were looking for and then list our dream job. No one listed just one job. We should try to find ways to link our talents and interests to work that is meaningful and provides for our wants and needs.
