Veterans Career Match

My Next MoveOn My Next Move for Veterans (www.MyNextMove.org/vets) veterans will find a simple and quick search engine where they enter their prior military experience (branch of service and military occupation code or title) and link to the information they need to explore information on civilian careers and related training, including information they can use to write resumes that highlight related civilian skills. In addition, My Next Move for Veterans contains a link to an online assessment, the O*NET Interest Profiler, which provides results comparable to the Strong Interest Inventory being used in the new Transition Assistance Program (TAP). Veterans who have not received an interest assessment as part of TAP can access and take this interest assessment online from a link in the lower right-hand corner of My Next Move for Veterans or directly at: http://www.mynextmove.org/explore/ip

Just started Wahoo Idea Network , the purpose is to start 3 or 4 groups like for Veterans, ADHD, a pressure wash company and a home Improvement company and somehow tie that all together. My thought is start with Wahoo Idea Network help veterans and people with ADHD with ideas's and help them in any way if it grows that way, it grows,  try to get the domain name ETC. to capitalize on that. I also started Facebook pages"low investment" like veterans business roundtable, Wahoo Idea Network will be the central point , rally point to launch whatever is needed (Podcasting , we can all share the cost or talents, Copywriting very Important for flyiers and help hone that message) So any ideas's to help or does it seem like it needs a different direction. what I like about Dan Miller is if he picks up a paint brush or whatever , he has an idea on how to make it a company or how it can benifit someone,  thanx any suggestions ? I am really going through a transition point

I spent this Veterans' Day visiting Berlin, Germany. After seeing the ruins of the Berlin Wall and the Holocaust Memorial I was reminded of the importance of the work that we've done in the past and that future veterans will do to protect freedom. Thank you all for your service, past, present, and future.

I hung up my uniform 20 years ago and have worked in a half dozen different areas since then.  I think a lot of service personnel look at their exit and think - What am I going to do with the rest of my life?  In reality I think the question should be - What am I going to do next?  It's a much easier question to answer.  I think this is a topic you may want to explore.  People need to be able to take that first step through the door without thinking about the next 20 years.

I spend most of my time consulting for government agencies, but I'm shifting more of my focus to coaching.  I have a 100 day program for entrepreneurs to build/rebuild their business platform to figure out the correct offline/online mix for their business model.  It's a combination of consulting and coaching to address both business and technology challenges.  So I'm definitely interested in growing.

The VA is not important to me from a services perspective, but I would love to work with them to fix their service model - they need help.  Would love to know more about Veteran affinity programs - it's always good to connect.

As far as moving the group forward, I'm happy to help any Veteran with a free call or review of their website to come up with a basic plan to take that first step and move your life or business forward.

Hello all! I am preparing the group discussion plan for 2017 and need your help. What topics are you interested in? Are you looking for work, starting a business, or growing your coaching service? Is the VA important to you? What about Veteran affinity programs? I'm looking forward to your ideas on the best way to move our group forward.
