One more thing - buy a couple of .99 ebooks or go to the free promo categories and look at what others are doing.  It's a great way to get good ideas.

Eb - I've published a couple of kindle ebooks so far and working on the 3rd one - all non-fiction. The 2 free Kindle ebook are what I followed for front/back matter. Also, Steve Scott is a Kindle guru and has a book: HOW TO WRITE A NON-FICTION EBOOK IN 21 DAYS.  It is more indepth and covers some good marketing stuff as well.  It is 2.99

Hi folks. I'm new to 48 Days. I was so happy to stumble onto this page since I'm very interested in e-publishing for Kindle. Can someone give me some guidance or point me to a post that explains what the front matter of a book is and also the pages after the book (e.g, dedication, title page, acknowledgements, etc.).

I read Kindle's ebook on the topic, but I'd love to hear from DIYers who have gone through or are working through the process. Thanks all!

Tony...can you send me the other person beside Thisko you use? I'd love to broaden who I use.

Hi everyone - so glad I saw this group!

I have two books getting ready for release but the first one has become a major headache. I have tables in the book and well, they do not convert to Kindle very well. I'm having some other formatting issues as well. I've contacted one company that think they can format it, but "think" doesn't work for me. I need to know they can before I spend the money.

Anyone here written a book with tables and images that can suggest a person/company that knows how to properly format a book with tables to Kindle and also SquareSpace? Thanks!

I love Fiverr for ePublishing. Just had my Kindle Edition of 7 Days of Sex Challenge updated and needed it converted for KDP. I used this gig, Convert your word doc book into KINDLE format for $5, and it was delivered in 48 hours.

If you have never used Fiverr as a self publisher you need to check it out

Many, many other possibilities on there as well.

Hey Kent,

This is to someone else who I think does a better job on the book covers than Thisko. With her gig you get access to a photo site, I forget which one, to choose the graphic you want for your book.

I really like Thisko for other graphic design work and have found someone else to do my printables and banner ads as well.

Fiverr is a wealth of wonderful folks who do a fantastic job.

Hey Scott, I have used this gig on Fiverr a number of times for ebook covers with great success, https://www.fiverr.com/pro_ebookcovers/design-an-eye-catching-ebook....

Check out the two that I've recently had done.

Connect Like You Did When You First Met

He Zigs, She Zags

These were completed in 48 hours and I was able to do a revision on both. No brainer IMO.

Tony and DIY group.

I've completed a YA fiction book recently and I need to find the wisest path to getting this book to the market. Would you encourage me to pay someone from 99Designs to create the ebook cover, or are there other options?
