What sets you apart? Other people say they offer what you do. So if you are in a room with 10 of them...why should anyone use you?

A high percentage of businesses ultimately fail...or struggle along in survival mode, because they have never differentiated themselves from the crowd. Look around at all of the flourishing businesses in your community and with each and every one, you can see where they own a particular niche.
Whatever you say you do...there are others who claim the same thing:
- What sets you apart?
- What do you specialize in?
- What is unique about your business?

Comment by Kevin Miller - Free Agent on May 7, 2013 at 12:23pm Making a sticker should be easy...talk to a local printer and they'll hook you up, or search online. Get a bunch and see what folks' responses are.
Comment by Alex Barker on May 7, 2013 at 12:19pm Thanks Kevin for your input! I really appreciate it.
I've wondered the same thing, will people actually buy this... I think so! But outside opinions are appreciated :)
I still need to more research into how to accomplish my goal, like how to make a sticker. Please pass along anybody you know who might point me on the righteous path.
Comment by Kevin Miller - Free Agent on May 7, 2013 at 12:07pm Hey Alex, welcome. Just saw the info on your idea. All the issues you cover can be addressed, but the main thing I'd recommend is to do a small test first. So many people put big time and money into an idea, hoping it will 'take off' like the panic button guy's idea.
Get a bunch of samples made and see if you can find people who actually want them...and would use them. Just locally.
It's like a franchise restaurant. All of them started as just...one. In one town. It was only after having success small, that they built another, and another...

Comment by Kevin Miller - Free Agent on March 25, 2013 at 5:25pm OK, gotcha. I've never used anyone for residential cleaning...till now. Just hired a lady we know to clean our rental property.
