For the best experience in this group, take a look at this video from Kent Julian of the Write It Forward Group. If we all heed this advice, we'll have more cohesive conversations about each book or topic.
Thanks!

It's almost a new month. What's the selection for February? On that note, this book would take less than 30 minutes, but I highly recommend the new book by Andy Andrews, "How do you kill 11 million…Continue

Reading through QBQ. Each chapter presents a lesson or words of advice. I write each one down on a piece of paper and post it in my station at work. I don't put up a new one until I feel like I…Continue

Comment by Tim Geisinger on March 26, 2013 at 12:55am I love to stop by here and pick up ideas my next book to read. I just completed How To Live on 24 Hours a Day by Arnold Bennett. I'm a time management fanatic so this provided a good kick in the pants. This is an old book in the Public Domain, a short easy read. I downloaded the audio on Librivox. If you are not familiar with Librivox this is a project to transform all the books in the public domain into audio. Lots of good stuff out there!
Comment by Tim Geisinger on December 8, 2012 at 9:48am I'm reading Jeff Olson's e-book (after listening to the abridged version on CD) "THE SLIGHT EDGE." Every decision we make is a slight edge decision, for good or ill/bad. Ex. If I choose to do the uncomfortable of jogging today, instead of no exercise, I have made a slight edge decision for good. Tomorrow, if I choose not to exercise I have made a slight edge decision for ill/bad.

Comment by Mary Lawson on October 8, 2012 at 9:07pm Is anyone going to re-read a book from their 2012 list before the year is over? I will read the Travelers Gift again before the end of 2012.
Comment by Rob Orr on October 6, 2012 at 9:35am Good question Doug!
I often like to see personal development techniques in books that are...well, a little off the beaten path. Don't get me wrong: I like Dale Carnegie as much as the next guy. But I can only take so much Dale Carnegie. I think we can learn these life lessons from a variety of literary genres - for me, most recently re-reading my all-time favorite novel, David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. I wonder if others have learned many different lessons in development, personal finance, and other areas from even the most unexpected of genres.
I recently finished Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. That was a very unique man. I would love to have his passion and ability to design great gadgets.
When I finished that, I started "The Power of the Prophetic Blessing" by John Hagee. It's a review copy, and I need to post my review by the end of the week.
Comment by Kevin Lageer on June 9, 2012 at 6:41am I just finished reading Bonhoeffer by Metaxis; Two things: really made me stop and think about what would I do if my national leadership went sideways; is our current "church" really about the gospel or about 'the mission'.
