Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love

We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

Good Afternoon,

I was advised to post my question in this group

g\Well, I have a love and passion for movies and I was interested in starting a Movie review blog. I would love review all kinds of movies how they relate to things going on today. I would review the movies in a comedical, fun and sassy way. My question is how do I make money with such a blog? What suggestions do you have for me to turn my passion for movies in some potential income?

Thank you

My daughter wants to do something with movie reviews as well.   Vintage items are hot these days...do a tie in with fashion, food, home furnishings.  I love to watch Dinner and a Movie.... where they tie in recipes as well.

Thank you so much Vickie. I do have a passion for fashion as well. Maybe I can tie the two together,

I would do videos.

However, I would really suggest that you avoid trying to make $$$. Instead, commit to reviewing videos for six (6) months with no intention to make a penny. Put all of your effort into just making videos. No strategy, just content.

Just allow your love and passion for movies to come out. Enjoy being that sassy and fun reviewer. Because that is exactly what the viewer really wants. They do not want to be sold to. Instead they want to enjoy a fun sassy video.

And when you stop trying to make $$$ you can focus on being the best at what you do without distraction.

Also, this will give you time to really perfect your art.

Once you build your audience, you can use your numbers to gain sponsor / ad revenue.

There is a guy named Matt Bellassai who blew up the interwebs with his funny videos in which he would drink a bottle of wine and complain about stuff. The stuff we all hate. He is now on tour because he is huge. (He is a kinda rude and NSFW fyi).

Just my opinion...
