We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

Hello Fellow Bloggers!

I had a quick question. I currently use Future Tweet to schedule automatic and reoccurring tweets. I love this free service. I was wondering if anyone knows of a similar service or plugin for Facebook. If you know of something like this please let me know.

Thank you,

I don't think you want to schedule recurring Facebook updates, since they live a lot longer, but Hootsuite is my free tool of choice.

Here's a tutorial.

Facebook used to allow you to put your blog address in your profile, and it would automatically created a status when you published a new blog. That is no longer available, but there is a new Subscriptions option that you might want to consider. It's a good option if you want to allow non-friends to see specific updates, but you're not ready to create a fan page.

I first went to my profile and allowed people to subscribe to my public status updates. Now when I publish a new blog post, I create a status update and make it public.People who subscribe but are not friends will see the public updates, but will not be able to snoop around the rest of your profile. You can publicize this on your sidebar alongside the other subscribe options. There are just some people who do Facebook, but not email or RSS, so those subscribe options are not appealing to them.

I use Buffer App.  You can start using the tool for free and you can post content to both Facebook or Twitter.  It has predefined times that will automatically send out your content.  It's great!

I second BufferApp. I also like to use the Tweet Old Post Plugin for Wordpress. It will randomly tweet old blog post for you at whatever frequency you want. You will want to be sure that you have enough blog post or it will look repetitive fast.

I will third buffer app.  It gives you a free account for up to 10 pending posts.  Easy to use, and the customer service has been awesome

I have begun to use Hootsuite as my go to scheduler for specific info I want to post. I don't think I would use it to post recurring themes but I do use it for new posts or ideas or specific twitter activity.
