My first website customer is a home inspector; he wants visitors to be able to fill out a form requesting a quote. There would be general information fields as well as requests for information such as size of home, etc. That info would go to the home inspector. What's a good way to create that? Thanks!
Good question Julie. The best WordPress form creator is Gravity Forms, but there are free options like Ninja Forms and you can do what you need with either of these.
Listen to Jeff--he knows! Gravity forms works great!
Jetpack also has a contact form where you can add custom fields. It is also free and already connected to the WP platform.
All good solutions.
Be careful with Contact Forms. On a site with many plugins our form created with Contact Forms stopped working due to some conflict. We never fully resolved it, even after spending many hours testing and upgrading and searching for an answer.
I would take a look at https://mc4wp.com/ to integrate with MailChimp. If he has their attention long enough for them to ask for a quote, he needs to be capturing those email addresses in something like MailChimp so that he can continue the conversation beyond that first touch point.
Yes, I would definitely steer him towards some type of email capturing.
