48 Days Facilitators

If you're considering teaching the 48 Days Seminars, you need this group! Brainstorm with other facilitators on what works and what doesn't!

Website: http://www.48days.com/48daysworkshops
Members: 396
Latest Activity: on Sunday

I'm thrilled to have this group--the 48 Days Workshops are such an incredible resource for anyone who is looking to find the work they love...or even to confirm that they are already doing it!

This group is for those looking to lead the workshops--whether that is in church, in corporations, through your coaching business, etc.  This is the place to share your experiences, both good and bad, and learn about methods that work! Remember that everyone brings their own unique personality to the class--being a facilitator is an important factor on truly selling the classes--participants have to get excited about you as the leader!

This group is designed for you all to ask questions, share ideas, and generally encourage one another to really network together and make the classes (and your own personal endeavors) a success!

If you have any questions concerning the 48 Days workshops and/or facilitating them, please contact Nathan Logsdon at Nathan@48days.com

Here is a question for experienced facilitators...have any of you marketed the workshop with minimal marketing time say 2-3 weeks? What was the result? In a church setting, how important is it to have the Pastor on board and in front of the people with the promoting of the seminar? Does it matter? What type of results did you experience?

Thanks Julia and Nathan, for the insight. It seems that it's been placed on hold. No one seems to see the value. I will keep praying, I know the church as well as the community can and will benefit from this if given a chance.

Fun fact from my current seminar--half of my 18 participants are primary C personality styles. Upon reflection, not surprising!

Welcome Sylvia!
I just completed my first round of 48 Days at my church and we've already got offshoots going. Prepare yourself for your own emotional response to people who aren't ready/willing to dig in and do the work. We know how much value this information, insight and hard work can add to our lives, but not everyone will take action on it like we will.

Keep the faith. Keep sowing the good seeds of information, truth, hope and encouragement. I just had a friend contact me to say that they are using some materials I gave them FIVE years ago. I wish they had taken action then, but they didn't. I kept doing what God called me to do - love them - and now they're in a position to take action and they have five more years of reasons WHY they need to take action.

Don't give up.

Don't EVER give up :)

Sylvia,
I am so glad to see you are planning on getting the 48Days Seminars up and running in your church! I work with 48Days and specifically help guide facilitators through this process. Since there is so much to discuss, I will e-mail you directly and we can talk. I look forward to the conversation!

Hello everyone, I new to this forum and I'm just getting started with facilitating 48days seminars. I plan to submit a proposal to my church to offer the seminar, there are over 2,000 members in the church so I believe if the proposal is accepted the seminar will take off very quickly. Any suggestions on which facilitators package is best to get started with?

Darren,
To echo what Jeff said, the church setting can be a very good place to get started. I love the idea of a local hospital or even a library or community center that has extra space and would appreciate an outside group coming in for exposure. Where are you drawing from on your group? Are you looking at pulling from the community, a church, and specific target group? If you need any help let me know. I work with the 48Days Workshop curriculum and would be happy to help you in any way I can.

Mary,
I will add those to my list of those to work on. I never thought of a hospital.

As far as takers for this presentation, at least you have planted some seeds. You might be surprised on who comes to your class. Maybe they may know someone who would benefit.

Again, thanks and you will do well.

Darren,
Do you have any connections to a local service agency/non-profit organization that might offer you a conference room at less of a cost. Our local hospital has a conference room that gets used often.
My church even charges for the rooms we want to use - no takers this round so going to market differently!

Jeff,

Great information. I may lean that direction. That is a great point to start out with, gain experience and yes, you are right in quoting Seth. I will definitely keep the folks here up on what direction I go.

Thanks!

Darren
