I made a resume app because I want to work as many hours as possible to get myself out of debt. This app has been on the Android Market for almost a month now and I only have 23 installs.

I know it is just my glorified business card, but what can I add to this app to get in on more phones and android devices?

Let me preface by saying I am an Apple devotee and know nothing about the Android market, but I love my apps. There are a few questions/comments I see:
1. What exactly does your app do? I can't deduce what it does just from the screen shots. Can you write a blurb about it to market it? That makes a huge difference to me when I browse iTunes.
2. Do you know anyone who has downloaded the app (friends/family) who can leave feedback? Personally it makes a difference to me how constructive and positive the feedback is.
3. Is there something free you can offer to entice people to download your app? I understand it is free but what can you offer that other apps don't?
4. Can you get more dynamic screenshots up on the Android marketplace? Ones that give a better idea of the value of your app and its services.
Hope this helps some!

Such as...
Thanks,
Michael

Permalink Reply by Michael Scott hart on May 2, 2012 at 9:38am I will admit that it basically to be my business card, and I know that it needs to serve more purpose as to be a useful or entertaining app of some sort to the end user...also the less attractive looking version of this app had my calendar in it as well so people could see my schedule, I have yet to add that to this version of the app...not that it will make a difference in the downloads I think...

What's in it for your audience. After that, you'll get what you want.
Best of Luck, Michael
