Anyone here wanna make a little money? I have some sermons that I preached that I would like to have transcribed, which will include correcting all the grammar errors that I made while preaching. The audio files are in WMA format which the format my Olympus digital voice recorder uses. The days of micro-cassettes is over as these digital voice recorders can duplicate all of their functions and then some more.
How much does one charge for these services?

You should check out www.elance.com or www.odesk.com and you can post your job and get bids/offers.

Permalink Reply by Landa LaMotta Knaack on April 15, 2012 at 6:49pm I've done some transcription on Amazon's Mechanical Turk. I don't know how they work if you're contracting the work, but they're pretty user friendly from a micro-freelance view.
Look through some of their HITs (that's their term for assignment)... I see transcriptions from 20-30 dollars down to .50... mostly depends on technical needs and length of transcription necessary. One firm cuts up the full event and then sets them up individually...
John, feel free to contact me to discuss further...
Best,
Landa
