Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love
We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.
But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.
48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.
If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.
Are we all not inspired by quotes from the famous to the not-so? As a novice writer, I have collected 100s, and would like to share 1 from time to time, as well as spur any imagination or inspiration from my friends at 48Days. Please be involved!
"If a man write a better book, preach a better sermon, or make a better mouse-trap than his neighbor, though he build his house in the woods, the world will make a beaten path to his door."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Jay - interesting that you would start off with that one. We are having a Write to the Bank event here tomorrow and that's one of the quotes that I bring up - and then adamantly maintain that it's no longer true. In today's marketing driven culture it seems clear that unless you come out of the woods and have an aggressive promotional plan, that better book, sermon or mouse-trap will never go anywhere.
This one has always been one of my favorites:
"When I became a man I put away childish things: including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."
You'll find a TON of quotes here: http://www.48days.net/forum/topics/favorite-quotes. This forum has been going on for a long time and I usually add in the quotes from Dad's newsletter every week--you'll find some great ones in there!
Make sure to check out Ashley's quotes page.
I received this one thins morning and it it really good:
"Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you're ready or not, to put it into action."
— Napoleon Hill
This one directly relates to Dan teachings. I love it!
Have a great day,
“The wealthiest places in the world are not gold mines, oil fields, diamond mines or banks. The wealthiest place is the cemetery. There lies companies that were never started, masterpieces that were never painted… In the cemetery there is buried the greatest treasure of untapped potential. There is a treasure within you that must come out. Don’t go to the grave with your treasure still within YOU.”
Dr. Myles Munroe
