I like it.  It's clean! :-)  I mean the design looks clean and what you offer is quite clear. And I get the feeling that you can really go above and beyond.  The FAQ answers relevant questions. How do you plan to get traffic to your website?

Thomas,

Great looking website!  Congrats on getting it complete.  It's visually appealing and the content seems thorough.

Well done.

Really nice looking site! Visually appealing and professional looking. It's given me a couple of ideas for my own site.

Now comes the fun/hard part. Like BJ mentioned - what are you going to do for traffic?

Nice looking site - I would recommend setting your posts to change them from this:

http://meticulousmanservices.com/?page_id=35 (notice the ?page_id=35) to a custom post that is more SEO friendly - like this...

http://meticulousmanservices.com/standardcleaning/

- To do this enter your admin area

- Go down to settings on the left hand side

- Click on Permalinks

- Click on Custom Structure

- Add the following code in space provided: /%postname%/

- Scroll down and click save

Wa la - you now have custom links that are SEO friendly instead of the ugly page ID file name.

Pressing on to Success!

Jeff

Thanks for the tip Jeff! I was wondering about how to change that and was planning on looking it up today. Thanks for saving me the time. I just changed it.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to look at my website. As for getting traffic to the website, here is what I have going on at this time.

  1. I've registered my business with Google Places and have my website, as well as other contact information, listed.
  2. On my Facebook page, both personal and business, I have posted the website link and encouraged people to visit.
  3. I doing trade work for a local family oriented newsletter/website/blog that gives me advertising in return. They have posted the website on their Facebook page as well as tweeted about it.
  4. The business above is doing a "Holiday Gift Guide" they will be sending out that list my business and website.
  5. I will be placing the website on all my printed marketing materials, such as fliers and business cards.

If anyone has more ideas to get traffic moving to the website, I'm open to suggestions :)

You also want to start creating backlinks to your site. Register with sites like Merchant Circle.com, Yelp.com, and as many directory sites as your can find that allow you to place a link to your site. I have also found that Craigslist can work very well if you include graphics and a link to your site as the contact info.

Look at cleaning industry forums, like truckmountforums.com (no affiliation). This is a large forum, which allows you to blog, placing links to your site. I haven't used this one myself, but have heard some guys get very good results with it.

Also, look at sites, like Zillow.com. It's a real estate site, but your can register as a home improvement pro. This gives you access to the q&a area, where you can not only leave links, but potentially get found by someone looking to sell or buy and needs move in/out cleaning done.

So many ideas, so little time.

Meticulous Man Services Website:

Images loaded slowly. Check resolutions on them and reduce to 72dpi.

Nice Contact me tab in the upper left!

I'm not sure the image helps. The reflection is confusing. I'd prefer an image with you actually cleaning something. Or 2 or 3 images together of you doing different services.

You may have to work up to this, or you may be able to barter with a photographer, but I'd really prefer to see images of you actually cleaning things. Either the same image on all pages or rotating images based on the page. You vacuuming, you dusting, you scrubbing, etc. Action photos as opposed to the very static 'scenes' now. You could do 3 images and put them together in the panel and use that on all pages maybe.

Nice simple splash page. Direct and to the point!

I might include Nampa, Idaho in the tagline under Meticulous Man Services. Or a 2nd line saying something like: "Serving the Nampa, Idaho area"

Add "natural cleaning" to taglines at the bottom.

I'd make the links at the bottom mirror those at the top.

Very nice that you have PayPal! Makes it easy.

Try to get a 2nd review ASAP. There is not much weight to a single review.
