Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love
We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.
But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.
48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.
If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.
Just stop collecting information and start creating. It sounds overly simplified but that's what it will ultimately boil down to. If you want to get into specifics of your situation, please feel free to contact me directly.
Matthew - I imagine most of us can relate to your situation - and the good news is, it's a normal problem. What you need to do is to start blending some action with your dreams. Decide what the next step is, something you can do today, and do it. Taking small steps has a way of turning a dream job into real job. I would also second Rob's advice (and take him up on his offer to talk specifics with you). And my friend and fellow 48days member, Adam Suter, wrote a great book that would be helpful, Vision ADD: From Ideas to Work That Matters.
Keep us posted!
Oh my gosh Matthew, what a great problem to have! :) That's what I LOVE about the 48 Days community, folks don't care a bit to offer great advice and resources, for free! And it does create a bit of info overload, but I think it is AWESOME! Robert and Chet have given good advice though. So yeah, don't get bogged down with to much info. As far as 48 Days .net goes, I usually tell folks to utilize the "search" option. Put the key words in and it will usually pull up what you are looking for to answer your questions.
I love your question, Matthew, you rock!
I can totally empathize with that! I even wrote a blog post about it once. Hope you find it helpful!
