I am a promoter in a direct sales company. and am trying to grow my business as well in a rural community so things get challenging at times... I really want to reach the top of this company.  (as i would hope anyone in direct sales would want to do) The big thing is what kind of market is your target? age range, gender, interests, etc.  And start out with your warm market (locally) start there and see what it brings.

Also see if your company is offering conferences or seminars to help you expand and grow your business.. as well as perhaps calls you can tap in to and listen to get keys to success. Try getting into reading Anything written by Jim Rohn... Check out a magazine called "Success from home" i always get something useful from all of them... others can chime in on good reading/listening materials as well.

Thank you Daniel.  I am attending our conference next month and can't wait!  I do a lot of events around town.  I live in a rural area as well but I am willing to travel.  I listen to podcasts, read articles and books...anything I can get my hands on.  I haven't read Success at Home though...I will check that out.  Thank you for the tips!

Hi, Angie.

A business coach named Dani Johnson helped me when I was in direct sales.  She helped me turn the corner from feeling like a salesperson to positioning myself as an interviewer.

She's pretty wise & helpful in other areas, too.  Her website should have some free tools, webinars, etc.  It's danijohnson.com.
