Ditto what Dan said. Also, if you are just interested in starting a free blog as a hobby, you can go to wordpress.com and click the "Get Started Here" button. It's really user-friendly.

Hi Karen,

Blogging your Passion is a great resource, but so is ProBlogger.net. You could literally read everything on problogger from 2008-early 2011 and know everything you need to know. You will also want to become familiar with Copyblogger.com. Opt in for their Internet Marketing for Smart People course. Great stuff. Good luck!
