I am looking to get some info on ereaders. I have an idea for a complimentary product for the kindle, nook, and other ereaders. The kindle sold supposedly between 5 and 8 million in 2010. So selling a comp product to just 1% of these sales at $19.99 would bring a sales total of $999,500 (50000 * $19.99).
For those of you that have one what do you wish that it also did? How could you protect it better? Would you still buy it today?
For those of you that don't have one what keeps you from buying one?
Thanks in advance

It's annoying that there are no real page breaks.
Permalink Reply by Jacob Woldstad on August 2, 2011 at 8:07am My family owns several kindles. We use them while homeschooling our kids, as well just reading. I didn't think I would like it as much as I do, but we may be purchasing another so that we each have our own unit. I love how they are usable even in bright light.
The things I wish it did better are all internal and don't think there is an add-on that would help: browsing the web is a challenge, typing on it is a challenge due to the small keys.
I look forward to seeing your idea.

Permalink Reply by Joshua Monen on August 3, 2011 at 6:11pm I have a Kindle and absolutely love it! I even wrote an article on my blog called Kindle Review: 7 Reasons to Buy One.
I wish I could buy an inexpensive cover for it that had a back light. The Kindle is cool because of the e-ink screen technology but the downside is that the screen has no back light. I can't read it in the dark. It would be nice to have a cover and a light.
